My Story
Finding yourself through creating ..
Ever since I was a little girl, I loved collecting and discovering beauty in nature’s simplest creations. The ocean has a remarkable way of leaving small treasures along the shoreline — shells shaped by the tides, softened by the sea and waiting to be discovered. Every shell collected has a story untold and this is how my journey began.
During the Covid lockdown, when the world slowed down, I finally had the time to turn that lifelong love into something more. What began as a simple creative outlet soon became Shell Art by Anna — a collection of handmade coastal artworks and heartfelt keepsakes created for life’s most precious moments.
I love creating personalised shell art pieces — from handmade coastal artworks and statement wall pieces, to heartfelt keepsakes for new babies, birthdays and special occasions. Each piece is carefully handmade using natural seashells and coastal treasures — driftwood, coral, starfish, dried seaweed and more — many of which I ethically collect along the beautiful Wollongong and Illawarra coastline. This connection to the coast is woven into every piece, making each creation unique, personal and truly one of a kind.
Every order includes a label for a personal message — a small but meaningful touch that adds an extra layer of sentiment to your gift. My hope is that each piece becomes more than wall art — a treasured keepsake, a memory, something held close for years to come.
All my creations give me a sense of peace and satisfaction. Hoping that my pieces will bring joy to another family, or that one day a parent might point to a piece on their child’s wall and say “that was made just for you” — that is what makes this journey so special. It is the beautiful realisation of something I never expected: that a lifelong love of collecting coastal treasures could become something real, heartfelt and shared.
I love what I do. This is my passion.
